【嫌なら見るな】フジテレビ「めちゃイケ」が来春終了を番組内で正式発表 22年の歴史に幕
この日の放送は、ナインティナイン・岡村隆史（４７）が先月１４日に放送された「オファーシリーズ」で共演した歌手・三浦大知（３０）らの元を“お礼参り”。訪問を終えてロケバスへ移動すると、同番組の総監督が「めちゃイケ終わります」と岡村に告げ、「番組開始２２年目の秋に感謝をこめて…『めちゃイケ』は来年の春に放送を終了します」とテロップが表示された。
番組終了を告げられ、「えっ…」と絶句した岡村。「リアルなやつですか？ビックリしていますけど…」と驚きを隠せない様子だった。
また、番組が終了する来春まで“あるプロジェクト”が決行されることも発表された。総監督は岡村に「半年間がどういう番組になるかは、やっぱりメンバーの気持ち次第だと思います」と語りかけていた。
「めちゃイケ」の愛称で親しまれた同番組だが、来年３月で放送終了することをスポニチ本紙が３日に報道。お笑い芸人・たむらけんじ（４４）は自身のインスタグラムで「めちゃイケ」のプロデューサーからメールで報告があったことを明かし、「（終了は）事実」とつづっていた。
前身番組から数えて２２年。斬新なコントや体を張った企画を送り出し、「爆裂お父さん」「めちゃ日本女子プロレス」などが若者に人気に。０４年１０月の「８周年記念スペシャル」では、歴代最高の視聴率３３・２％を記録した。
