【ビール瓶で殴打】横綱・日馬富士の貴ノ岩に対する暴行、貴乃花親方が事件直後に被害届提出もこれまで明るみに出ず
大相撲の横綱・日馬富士が平幕の貴ノ岩を暴行した問題で、日本相撲協会は、今後、危機管理委員会で詳しい事実関係の調査を進めることにしています。相撲協会によりますと、日馬富士は先月２５日に巡業先の鳥取市に入った夜、複数の力士がいる場で貴ノ岩を殴るなどしてけがをさせたということです。複数の関係者によりますと、モンゴル出身力士の懇親会で日馬富士はビール瓶で殴ったということです。貴ノ岩は、九州場所を初日から休場し１３日、相撲協会に頭の骨を折るなどのけがで２週間の治療が必要という診断書を提出しました。
日馬富士も３日目の１４日から、左ひじ付近の炎症を理由に休場しました。この問題を受けて相撲協会は、八角理事長など幹部が九州場所が行われている福岡国際センターに集まって、貴ノ岩の師匠の貴乃花親方や、日馬富士の師匠の伊勢ヶ濱親方から直接、事情を聞きました。この場で伊勢ヶ濱親方は、日馬富士がけがをさせたことを認めたうえで、貴乃花親方に謝罪したということです。貴乃花親方は、鳥取県警察本部に被害届を提出したことを明らかにしたうえで「巡業の最中のことなので巡業部長である私にも責任がある。事実関係を究明したい」と話したということです。相撲協会は、鏡山理事を責任者とする危機管理委員会で、関係者から事情を聞くなど詳しい調査を進めることにしています。
八角理事長「申し訳ない 本当に残念」
日本相撲協会の八角理事長は「場所中にこういうことが出てきて、申し訳ないです。協会として、講習会を開くなどいい時ほど努力してやっていたので、本当に残念です。危機管理委員会を招集して事実確認をして、今後も、きちっと対処していきます」と神妙な面持ちで話していました。
力士たち 戸惑いの声
九州場所３日目の取組を終えた力士たちからは、戸惑いの声が聞かれました。横綱・白鵬は取組のあと、支度部屋で日馬富士の件について報道陣から聞かれ、「場所中なので」と多くは語りませんでしたが、「稀勢の里と場所を引っ張っていかなければ」と、落ち着き払った表情で話しました。また、横綱・稀勢の里は「今は相撲に集中してやるだけです」と気を引き締めるように話していました。貴ノ岩と同じモンゴル出身の玉鷲は１４日にニュースで知ったということで、「残念だ。貴ノ岩はこれから強くなる若手力士なので、さらに強くなってほしい」と、休場した貴ノ岩のことを心配そうに話していました。日馬富士と同じ伊勢ヶ濱部屋の兄弟子・安美錦は「お騒がせして申し訳ない気持ちでいっぱいです。私たちも知らないことがたくさんある。ご迷惑とご心配をかけてすみません」と、神妙な面持ちで話していました。
北の富士さん「責任は重い」
元横綱・北の富士の北の富士勝昭さんは「相手は平幕で横綱に無抵抗だったと思う。なぜこうしたことが起きたのかわからないが、気の緩みがあったのかもしれない。お相撲さんは体が大きくても気は優しくて力持ちという愛される存在であるべきだが、こうした事態が起きてしまいがっかりしている。相撲にお客さんが戻ってきた中で水を差す話だ」と厳しく指摘しました。そのうえで、「日馬富士と協会、両方の責任は重い。協会が厳しく処罰するのは当たり前で、休場させればいいという問題ではない」と話していました。
スポーツ庁 鈴木長官「暴力断固反対で残念」
大相撲の横綱・日馬富士に暴行した疑いがあることについて、スポーツ庁の鈴木大地長官は記者会見で「現在、詳しい事情を関係者に聞いている。スポーツの現場を預かるものとして、暴力は断固反対で、根絶していく必要がある。今後、事実関係を確認しながら対処していくが、暴力は好ましくないということは間違いなく言えることだ」と指摘しました。また、鈴木長官は「これまで相撲界では、好ましくない事件が起きてきて、コンプライアンスや品行を是正し、今後起こらないようにするために毎年関係者を集めて研修会を開いてきた。横綱というのは品格が求められると聞いており、範となるべき方が事件を起こしたのは非常に残念だ」と述べました。そのうえで鈴木長官は、今回の問題について「古いしきたりが影響しているのかどうかを含めて、検証していく必要があると思っている。誰がどこまで知っていたかも含めて情報を待ちたい」と述べました。
